Who we are

renovationcost.sg is an independent quote-comparison tool for Singapore homeowners, operated by Kydos Pte Ltd. Zeus is its WhatsApp scanner, on +65 8261 8055. Contact: support@renovationcost.sg.

What we collect

• Your email address — to send your report and let you find past scans. On WhatsApp it is optional: give it only if you want a copy by email.
• Your WhatsApp number, if you use Zeus — it is your account there. It sets your scan allowance and is where we send your report.
• The quotations you upload or forward — handled as described in how we handle your quotes.
• Property type, if you choose to give it.
• A one-way hash of your IP address — to apply free-scan limits fairly. We do not store the address itself.
• Anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics — pages visited, features used. No names, no quote contents.

If you use WhatsApp

• Messages and files you send Zeus travel through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta's own WhatsApp privacy policy covers your use of WhatsApp itself.
• Forwarding a quotation sends us a copy. The original stays in your own chat, on your phone — we cannot see or delete it there.
• Quotations you forward are held until you type GO. Type RESET to delete them at any time. Anything not scanned is deleted automatically within a day.
• Once you type GO, they are handled exactly like an upload on the website.
• We message you only about scans you started, or a better price you asked us to look for. No marketing messages.
• If you tap Find cheaper price and choose WhatsApp, call or email, we may contact you that way about those items, and only those items. We ask suppliers about the items — never with your name or number — and get back to you only if we find one cheaper.
• We keep a log of your chat with Zeus — your messages, our replies and the names of files you send, never their contents — for 30 days, so we can look into problems. Then it is deleted.

We hold no password

There is no password on this site. Signing in works by sending a one-time link to your inbox, so the only thing proving it is you is access to your own email. We never ask for a password, never store one, and could not leak one if we were breached.

During beta these sign-in emails are sent by Supabase, our authentication provider, so they arrive from a supabase.io address rather than renovationcost.sg. They are genuine.

Why we are allowed to hold it

You give it to us so we can produce the comparison you asked for. Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, that is consent for a stated purpose. We do not use your data for any other purpose without asking you first.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Netlify (hosting), Supabase (database and file storage), Anthropic (reading the quotations), Meta (carrying WhatsApp messages and files), Resend (email), and Google Analytics (usage statistics). Each processes data only to provide that service.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with renovation companies, contractors, interior designers, or advertisers.

Your rights

• Ask what we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it
• Withdraw consent — though we then cannot produce your comparison

Email support@renovationcost.sg and we will respond within 30 days. On WhatsApp, type RESET at any time to delete quotations you have forwarded but not yet scanned.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies for anonymous usage statistics, and your browser's local storage to remember your email on the dashboard. No advertising cookies, and no cross-site tracking.

Changes

If we change this notice materially, we will update the date at the top and, where it affects you, email registered users.
